WASHINGTON – Congressman Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) voted in support of the $7.85 billion Hurricane Harvey disaster relief bill Wednesday.
“Today my colleagues joined me in supporting funding for Hurricane Harvey relief,” said Congressman Farenthold. “Without this funding, FEMA would have run out of money by the end of the week. The people of South Texas, Houston, and the American people have done a lot to help each other, but they still need federal help, which is why I am glad we passed this bill today.”
The bill passed 419-3. It now heads to the Senate.
