Congressman Blake Farenthold (R-TX-27) released the following statement tonight after the President addressed the nation from the Oval Office to give his remarks on the horrific terrorist attack in California last week.

"Hours after the FBI labeled the shooting in San Bernardino a terrorist attack, the President still insisted on referring to the shooting as an incident of work-place violence,” Congressman Farenthold said. "The President's admission that we are under attack by terrorists and terrorist sympathizers is too little too late. He continues to leave Americans at risk by his failure to address legitimate security concerns and, instead, is leaving Americans defenseless by pursuing a single-minded goal that thwarts the Constitution, ignoring the 2nd Amendment. Now that it's been too many years to be able to still blame President Bush, Obama is attempting to shift the blame for this crisis to Congress and innocent Americans for the evil committed by these terrorists.”
