WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Blake Farenthold (TX-27) applauds the Navy, Department of Defense (DOD) and the Texas Wind Group on their historic agreement enabling a renewable energy developer to build and operate wind turbines in South Texas while reducing the potential for those turbines to affect flight operations at Naval Air Station Kingsville. Rep. Farenthold had the following comments:

“The partnership between the DOD, Navy and Texas Wind Group is a perfect example of how the government and private sector worked together towards a common sense solution for all parties involved. This agreement is a win-win for South Texas’ development of wind energy without interrupting the critical missions of the Navy at NAS Kingsville.”
